Local Firm Wins in Federal Court

Tonya Barajas v. County of Lake, et al.

May 3, 2002 -- Local law firm George C. Patrick & Associates prevailed today in United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.  This Civil Rights case in which the Plaintiff sued Lake County for the actions of a Probation Officer.  George C. Patrick & Associates made the winning argument that the Officer was not an agent of the county, but rather an agent of the State of Indiana, settling a long held legal debate.
